truth beauty,
that is all Ye know on Earth,
that is all Ye need to know..." - John Keats

Lust for Life...

Be that beast,
be that vicious predator...
Savour, drink,
quench the never-ending thirst...

Greed, its Right!
Want, desire and lust,
the overwhelming want,
the very carnal of your feelings...

Get to their centre,
go to the core,
explore, dig deep,
to find that hidden thirst...

Be that Blood-sucking vampire,
be the Death Angel,
give life The Kiss,
the sensual overwhelming Kiss,
where you teach life,
that it is not the Master,
but you Are.

All your sensuality,
let it dance in the
midst of the unending greed
to suck the life, hidden, out of your time!

Let it roll,
do not wait for those
who keep you waiting for long...
Do not heed those who impede your impulses,
with unappealing conformity...

Be a greedy, thirsty, vicious vampire,
even in the darkest of the hours,
go out, into the darkness,
because you know there, somewhere out there,
lingers the crafty little life...

Waiting to be found,
waiting to be preyed upon...

Be the nasty predator,
who can say,
Yes, I devoured on that stealthy prey
with such greed, that now after all
that is said and done
with my time done,
my hunger is satiated,
and no little piece of grumble
no little amount of thirst,
is left, unfinished...

At your end,
let yourself say,
I was the greediest of all,
thirstiest too,
and I made the best out of my lust for life!
Leaving nothing unfinished...

If being practical was so easy no one would be whining and complaining all the time.

Wow! I need to make a poster out of this and post it on the walls as a reminder to live life head on, and savor every moment. Beautiful display of emotions.

nice intensity to your words...i wonder, if let lose control in such a way how many this person would hurt along the way and would they really even notice...

well said... i think it's about finding balance, though the impulses and inclinations you pen are ignored by countless conformists—with the exception of actually conforming to a group of beasts so to speak. Great poem.

Thank @ all for the kind comments...:)

@Deepika - Whoever said it would be easy? But you got to have the will to go the extreme of circumstances and not settle for mediocre results... And the reason why people whine and complain is because they don't do that...:)

@Brian Miller - I know why you must have said there is a risk of hurting people...
Well all I can say is, my poem talks of love for a "FULL" life, and not of becoming richest or most famous...
Well, in the parts where I come from, there are a lot of people who are ready to say you can't, or it is not normal and such discouraging 'advice', and all I say here is, if you find such advice, don't heed it... Just try to do whatever you think you are capable of doing...:)
Thanks for the comment...:)
And being greedy, I said, be greedy enough to live fullest... As Thoreau says, "suck the marrow out of life.." :)
